IMPACT
Diabetes is a chronic disease in which one’s blood glucose levels are abnormally high. Over 400 million people worldwide suffer from this disease including over 30 million from the United States alone. The American Diabetes Association is a non-profit organization that works to raise awareness about diabetes as well as its effects. In addition, the organization raises money to support scientific research for diabetes management, treatments, and cures.
There is a long history of diabetes in my family. In early January 2020, my grandmother’s life was taken by diabetes. I have witnessed how much she struggled for years— she was a fighter. I remember all the long-term complications she faced: high blood sugar, heart problems, lung problems, kidney damage, etc. Eventually, these complications ended her life. Along with my grandmother, there are several others in my family that also deal with diabetes.
Therefore, I have decided to make Purposeful Performance a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; all the money I receive from selling my workout programs will go directly to the American Diabetes Association. Even if you cannot afford one of my programs, I offer free programs because I understand the struggle of lacking resources, and I still want to help you achieve all of your fitness goals and reach high-level athletic performance.
